How Does Teeth Whitening Work?

There are two main types of teeth whitening available: in-office whitening and take-home whitening.

In-Office Whitening

When you receive in-office teeth whitening, our dentist and team apply a powerful whitening gel to the surface of your teeth. This gel, in combination with a special laser, works to lighten the color of your teeth and produce a dramatic improvement in the appearance of your teeth and smile.

Take-home Whitening

Take-home whitening is similar. However, instead of a laser, you will be fitted with custom whitening trays and provided with whitening gel. The gel is placed in the trays and then worn as directed by our dentist. Over a period of several weeks, this gel will lighten the stains and discolorations on your teeth to give you a whiter smile.
